Worthy of the Blade
Now let’s think about this. Zelda, of Royal Blood, related to link, seeing as he is also Royal Blood, can probably pull the Master Sword from its pedestal. Of course, it would be foolish if that was the only evidence supporting this, my claim would be nearly groundless. Well, what of the time in Wind Waker when Zelda picks up the sword and hands it to link? We know that Zelda is two of the three requirements to wield the master sword: Pure of heart and strong of body. And what of the third? To pull and wield the sword, one must also be worthy of the title “Hero of Time.” This matter can be seen either way, seeing as the Master Sword governs who gets the title, not who pulls it. This means that it picks the most worthy, and does not, in any sense, mean that there is not more than one person worthy to pull the Blade. And if Zelda is entrusted with the Triforce of Wisdom, well, I’d call that pretty worthy, probably runner-up material.
But, then again, that’s just my side.
