The Golden Item Awards
Founded in 2005, the Golden Item Awards were created to honor exceptional sites in the Zelda Community. Originally an award for younger sites, Exploding Deku Nut's Golden Item Awards have expanded to include all aspects of the Zelda Community.
Nominations
The Golden Item Awards are not a vote based award, meaning sites do not win from shear popularity or a massive influx of votes. Nominations serve to bring my attention to a particular site and allow fans to explain why it should win a GIA.
That being said, a Zelda site does not have to be nominated to win a Golden Item Award; however they allow me to consider sites that I may otherwise miss in the judging.
Please remember only Zelda sites are eligible. There's no limitation in nominations, so you may nominate as many sites as you wish for any number of awards, including past winners!
Nominations for the 7th Annual Golden Item Awards will be commence February 1st, 2011.
