Welcome to EDNBIO. In this edition we have the estemed Mr. Edwards with us today. He claims to have composed all the music used in the Zelda games and would like to talk to us. We held this interview with him via phone.
EDNBIO - "Greetings Mr. Edwards, thank you for taking the time to talk with us."
EDWARDS - "Always a pleasure, I love your site by the way"
EDNBIO - "Thank you. Now down to busness. Everyone seems to think that Koji Kondo is the composer of most of the Zelda tracks. How can you claim that you are the composer?"
EDWARDS - "Simple, Koji Kondo is an alias of mine. I always liked Asian sounding names, so when I discovered the internet, I always went by Koji Kondo. Eventually when I was hired by Nintendo, I just kept going by that alias.
EDNBIO - "Wow. Thats really cool. So all this time, your the famed Koji Kondo."
EDWARDS - "Yep, I sure am"
EDNBIO - "So Mr. Edwards, or Kondo, what are you plans for the upcoming Zelda games?"
EDWARDS - "Well I plan to do some stuff, I'll write some of the music, send it in, compose it and send the final thing in for the game"
EDNBIO - "I see, so what are the steps you do when composing a song?"
EDWARDS - "Well I start off by thinking long and hard about it, then I sit down and write some of the black thingies on paper...."
EDNBIO - "You mean musical notes?"
EDWARDS - "Right, then see how they sound by playing a part of it on whatever have near me. Piano, guitar, spoons, even whisles, whatever. "
EDNBIO - "Ummm. Ok, and then?"
EDWARDS - "Then I send it to Nintendo for use. And they approve it. Here's I'll let you hear a bit of my next work." Clip of Edwards playing his music for us
EDNBIO - "Thats a *Naving* midi played on your computer from Link's Awakening! How stupid to you think I am?"
EDWARDS - "Well I mean, I composed it but I've never played that game before so I wouldn't know where its from and..."
EDNBIO - "You've never played the games your music is used in?!"
EDWARDS - "Well um not really uh.."
EDNBIO - "Your a composer for famous games and you've never played them. This is hoax isn't it?"
EDWARDS - "No, it isn't! I am Koji Komjo, really you have to believe me!"
EDNBIO - "First of all its Koji KONDO, and second of all, you are an idiot."
EDWARDS - "Thats what I meant really. Not that I'm an idiot! But that I'm Koji Kondo! Are you listening to me?!"
EDNBIO - "Not anymore" *CLICK*
EDWARDS - "What but...hello......hello?!"
