Secrets Guide

In Link's Awakening, there are several secrets that are not needed to finish the game. Here are a few of those secrets.

The Secret Dungeon:
Link's Awakening DX has another dungeon that can only be accessed if played on a Gameboy Color. (You know, cause you need color to successfully complete the dungeon) Visit the Library and use the Pegasus Boots to knock the book from the shelf. Read the arrows and remember it. Next, visit the bottom screen of the graveyard and follow the instructions given to you. When you do that, a doorway opens and you now have access to the Secret Dungeon. Keep in mind that the treasure at the end will allow you to either make Link's attack stronger, or limit the amount of damage he takes. You can also go back at anytime if you wish to trade tunics.

Stealing Items:
Only recommended if you want to have you name changed to "THIEF" in the game. Go the the Mabe Village shop, and pick up something expensive. Then run around the shopkeeper until he is facing away from the door and run out. If you are going to do this, at least steal something that is expensive, and not just bombs or something.

Save Money in the Shop:
First have enough money to buy the item you want. When the rupees start draining, quickly hit A, B, select and start. You should start you game again the same amount of rupees as when you hit the buttons.

Different Music:
Enter you name as "Zelda" and start the game. The title screen music will be different.

Bomb Arrows:
Equip both Bombs and Arrows on your A and B Buttons. Press both at the same time. If you did it right you should get a bomb arrow. Very handy in some areas of the game.

Boomerang Rooster Attack:
-When you have the Rooster, Power Bracelet, and Boomerang, you can do this trick. THrow the boomerang and quickly grab onto the rooster before the boomerang comes back. You will be flying while the boomerang circles around you and you can fly around while attacking enemies.

Special Ending:
Beat the entire game without losing a life. If you do you will a different ending.
