Boss Guide
Armos Knights:
There are six of the creatures, and they’ll all follow a pattern, be it hopping in a circle or going to the back of the chamber and stampeding towards you.
Start taking them out by using the arrows until one remains. The last Armos Knight will then turn red and being jumping up and down the room in its effort to take you down.
Stay out of the last knight’s way and as soon as it lands, fire another arrow or unleash a spin attack to finally defeat it.
Lanmolas:
There are three Lanmolas that inhibit this sandy pit, so beware. When the leap out of the sand, then dive back in, avoid the rubble that they kick up as it will injure you.
The Lanmolas head is its weak spot, so use whatever you have, the sword, bombs, arrows and the Ice Rod to attack. The Ice Rod works like a charm, so use it if you can.
Moldorm:
This fight is a little tricky as it takes place on a platform with absolutely no barriers. If you fall, you’ll land in the room below and have to climb back up to restart the whole battle. Moldorm has only one weak spot, and that’s the sparkly-bit on its tail. Once you hit the tail, you’ll bounce back and the creature will speed up a bit.
Agahnim:
Agahnim isn’t overly hard. When he launches a fireball at you, reflect it with your sword and keep doing so until it hits him. If you stand at a funny angle, it may not return to injure the wizard.
Being the crafty creature that he is, Agahnim has a few more tricks up his sleeve including a large lightning attack. If you see him move to the top of the chamber, run there with him (don’t stand in front) and wait for the attack to pass.
Helmasaur King:
The Helmasaur King’s weak spot is well-protected by a strong helmet. Use the Magic Hammer or bombs to break it open.
While you’re doing that, the lizard creature may do one three things: swing his tail, rush at you and emit fire. These are pretty easy attacks to avoid, so not much trouble there.
Once the hard shell has crumbled, hit the green spot on the forehead to cripple the dinosaur.
Arrghus:
Arrghus is a giant jellyfish covered with puffy cloud-like creatures. Stand at a distance and reel each puffy cloud in with your Hookshot and then strike with your sword.
Upon fully revealing Arrghus, it will stampede around the chamber. Take this opportunity to unleash some arrows, or an assault using your good old sword.
Mothula:
The chamber this fight takes place in is a little bizarre. The floor moves and there are spikes on the walls. To make it even more challenging, the spikes move.
The sword is the guaranteed quickest way to defeat the moth, although you can use the Fire Rod if you do so wish.
Just keep out of its way when fire rains down from the creature’s wings.
Blind the Thief:
Once the maiden’s true form has been uncovered, get ready for a fight. Attack Blind’s head until it falls off and starts to hover around the cell. Then it’ll grow another head. Continue the process until it falls over once and for all.
Kholdstare:
The battle begins with Kholdstare frozen in ice and large icicles falling from the ceiling. Melt the ice chunks with the Fire Rod, and then go after the boss with it. If you run out of magic, BAM! Use the old sword in the eye trick.
Vitreous:
If you don’t like others watching you play, then this battle might be a little tough because of the many eyes that surround Vitreous (an even bigger eye).
Stand in the bottom left or bottom right corners of the chamber and lure the smaller eyes towards you. This also protects you against a frightfully similar lightning attack. Once they start coming, unleash a barrage of Hylian Whoop-ass or some arrows and spin attacks with your sword. As the last eye closes and disappears, go after the big one and use the same sword and arrow techniques as before.
Trinexx:
This is one tough creature and you will need a lot of magic for this fight. Trinexx has three heads, fire, ice and stone.
Since you should know fire melts ice and ice freezes fire, use the Fire Rod on the ice head and the Ice Rod on the fire head.
Once you’ve hit the respective head with magic, move in with your sword and give this boss the true meaning of Master (ok, bad pun).
As soon as the last elemental head falls, the stone head will come into action and start stampeding around the room. The glowing mid-section is the part you want to target, so get in close with your sword and do some damage.
Agahnim:
This one’s really persistent and since you kicked his butt last time, he’s going to make his split personality very real. There are two fake wizards and one real one and it’s not partially transparent.
Agahnim will hover throughout the room and use his shadows to confuse you. Focus on returning the real Agahnim’s attack back at him.
Ganon:
I smell bacon, I smell pork, run little piggy, Link’s got a fork. Yep, you’re now going up against the biggest ham in Hyrule, Ganon.
Ganon begins by tossing his giant trident like a boomerang, so avoid it until it returns to him. Now, he’ll use it to cast a ring of fireballs that will turn into bats. In between the fireballs, strike Ganon with your sword.
As the fight progresses, Ganon will jump up and down to create more fire bats and to knock out the far ring of tiles. If you fall, you have to climb the tower and start the fight all over again.
Now Ganon will start to really get mad and knock out the two torches at the bottom of the chamber. He’ll also cloak himself to make it even harder to find. Just use the Fire Rod to light the torches and as soon as the pig becomes visible, go after him with the sword. If the pig turns blue, arm yourself with the Silver Arrows and let one fly. Repeat this process three more times and you’ll be able to have a nice ham dinner with the princess.
