Boss Guide

Parasitic Armoured Arachnid: GOHMA
Defeat Gohma by stunning her with a Deku Nut and chopping her immediately after she falls to the ground stunned. After a few attacks, she will return to the ceiling to lay eggs that will hatch into smaller Gohma Larvae. Z-Target her eye and when it flashes red, hit it with a Deku Seed from your slingshot and watch her crash to the floor. Race up to Gohma and hit her repeatedly to stomp this evil spider. Don't stand in front of Gohma for to long when she's crawling around or you'll end up getting crushed instead.

Infernal Dinosaur: KING DODONGO
When King Dodongo opens his mouth, target it and chuck a bomb into the cavity and step back. The bomb will explode and make the dinosaur fall to the floor, letting you run up and whack him with the sword. Stay back and crouch near the lava pool to prevent him from rolling over you after the king recovers from your attack. Repeat this procedure four times so you can get out of this fire pit.

Bio-electric Anemone: BARINADE
The essential trick during this battle is to KEEP MOVING! Use Z-Targeting and use the Boomerang to cut off the veins to this massive nerve. Barinade will disconnect from the ceiling and do two versions of a "carousel", where Bari spin around it. The first carousel will allow you to get in close to it and attack the main creature. Once there, throw the boomerang at Barinade and slash it with the sword. This move will destroy the Bari for you and hurt Barinade at the same time. In the second carousel, it moves around and you have to wait for the nerve to stop and drop the jellyfish to stun it. Once you've defeated all of the Bari, get back. Barinade will then start spinning faster and shooting electricity in your direction. Keep launching your boomerang at Barinade and it will turn purple so that you can slice the brain. If you keep repeating this it will retire quickly.

Evil Spirit from Beyond: PHANTOM GANON
Use the Fairy Bow to keep the ghost from thundering across the room on his black steed and dropping electricity on you. Aim at the pictures and fire as soon as he comes out of the purple vortex. If you miss shooting him, quickly move to one edge of the arena to avoid his big lightning attack. After you hit Phantom Ganon three times, he will jump of his horse and cast lightning bolts at you. Reflect them back at him with the Master Sword and if you're not sure if you're going to hit a lightning attack, use your Hylian Shield. If you have an empty bottle, you can also use this to reflect this lightning charges. When he falls to the ground slash Ganon repeatedly until the spectre gets back up. But watch out when he does a different type of move and then rides across the room on his staff. If you see him do this, move to the side to avoid this attack which takes down three hearts.

Subterranean Lava Dragon: VOLVAGIA
When Volvagia surfaces from the small lava pools on the platform, whack it with the Megaton Hammer. The dragon will then fall forward allowing you to hit the head. Volvagia will then retreat underground and surface again at a different pool breathing fire. Volvagia will then circle around in the air allowing for some nice opportunities to attack with the Fairy Bow. Occasionally Volvagia will fly high up into the ceiling to cause large rocks to fall down on you. To avoid these climb down the side of the platform and wait until the rocks have stopped falling. After the the dragon returns to the lava pool, keep your eye on the surface as it will try and confuse you to where it will next appear.

Giant Aquatic Amoeba: MORPHA
Cross onto on of the four pillars and wait for the creature to appear. Once Morpha is hovering right over your shoulder, jump to one of the sides of the pool and latch onto Morpha with the Longshot. If done correctly Morpha will fly over and land at your feet. Hit the nucleus repeatedly but watch out for the water tentacles that it commands. At first Morpha uses one tentacle and then switches to two. Be careful not to run into the spikes along the side of the wall when escaping the tentacles. If you do get grabbed, don't panic because you can't escape this creature's grip. Just wait for the tentacle to throw you across the room and either back onto the ledge or into the water. If you end up in the water, get out quickly for Morpha will try to purposely bump into you.

Phantom Shadow Beast: BONGO BONGO
This battle plays out on a giant drum and the hands will hit the drum in sequence making a tune and making it hard to launch an offensive attack. With this boss, always keep the Lens of Truth on hand (not on or your magic level will be severely compromised) so you can see Bongo Bongo's red eye when it opens. Disable each hand with an arrow, then quickly look through the Lens of Truth and nail the spook in the eye with another arrow. If your aim is true, the nightmare will drop to the drum surface and the red eye will be very vulernable. Don't wait to chop Bongo Bongo or it'll slide across the drum and injure you. Watch out when he tries to catch you by sliding his hands across the drum. If a hand pushes you off the platform, get back up on to the drum so you won't take any damage from the lake of acid below.

You can use the Longshot on Bongo's hands and eye. Or you can be like me and disable both hands with an arrow or the Longshot. After both hands go blue, press and hold B and wait until Bongo Bongo starts to slide across the drum. Once you're between his fists, release B and the phantom shadow beast should become visible and you will be able to fit in a couple of chops.

Sorceress Sisters: TWINROVA
The two witches, Kotake and Koume, will fly around for a while launching fire or ice magic at you. Hop onto one of the four pillars surrounding the main platform and protect yourself with the Mirror Shield to reflect their magic back. Remember that Fire Magic will hurt the ice witch and Ice Magic will hurt the fire witch. After doing this for about four times, Koume and Kotake will get angry and merge themselves into one big witch. Move to the center island to absorb her attacks of fire and ice with the Mirror Shield. To defeat Twinrova, you need three of same magic in a row on the Mirror Shield. Your only chance to attack comes when Twinrova drops to one of the islands after hitting her with three fire magic or three ice magic.

Great King of Evil: GANONDORF
When the battle starts, Ganondorf will strike the ground and a row of blocks will fall away making a gap between you and the King of Evil. Position yourself in one of the 4 corners with the Hylian Shield to absorb lightning attacks and use the Master Sword to return the lightning back to Ganondorf. If you want, an empty glass bottle will also work for sending back the lightning strikes. When Ganondorf grabs a lightning ball, be ready to reflect it. The Gerudo King will attempt to defend himself from the attack by using his big cape and he should be the one to give in to the magic. After Ganondorf has been hit, launch a Light Arrow into his body before jumping or hovering (with the Hover Boots) across the gap to the central pillar. Attack the downed king immediately and repeatedly with the Master Sword. As soon as Ganondorf recovers, leap back over the gap and onto one of the solid blocks in the corner. The regular ball game between you and Ganondorf will continue until he starts taking on major damage. This is clear when he calls upon a mass amount of energy over his head. That's your queue to send a Light Arrow at the king so he doesn't unleash the attack. When Ganondorf hangs helplessly in the air, pierce him again with a Light Arrow and jump back over for the kill.

GANON
Ganondorf is back, but not as his human form. This is his last stand and he will call upon the Triforce of Power for the final time to transform his already dispicable self into the creautre of ultimate evil: Ganon. Ganon will knock out the Master Sword right out of Link's hand and outside of the arena next to the princess. The only weapons you can use at this point are the Biggoron's Sword, Megaton Hammer, Long Shot and Light Arrows. Roll between his legs or circle around the beast with Z-Targeting and hit the tail with the weapon. Or you can stun him with a Light Arrow and then go between his legs and whack the tail. After a couple of hits with the Megaton Hammer, Long Shot, Light Arrow or the Biggoron's Sword, the wall of fire will disappear allowing you to retrieve the Master Sword. Use Nayru's Love when Ganon picks himself up off the ground and repeat the process of defeating him again. He moves faster now so remember to stay away from his left side because that's where his most powerful attack comes from. Keep whacking Ganon's tail with the sword until he falls down again for the final blow when the princess holds him down with her own power.
