Well guys, it took a while but it's finally here. This was a very successful year, despite the server problems we had. I recieved over 100 nominations over the course of 30 days. You've watched and waited, and here they are: Your 2008 Golden Item Award winners!

Sorry Guys

It was fully my intention to have the GIA's up by the time everyone else in North America was awake. However I've been photoshopping and typing for the last six hours, and evenually something in the brain stops trying. For example, here is the last thing I typed for one of the reviews:

The content and such is fantastic and excellent portrayal of how the site strives to set apart from the mainstream sites in the coming year and will continue to do so in the future.

What does that even mean? Anyways it's 3:30 AM now, so I should hit the sack now if I want to get up around 8:00-9:00 and finish these things off.

For those of you who are worrying, YES I the winners picked. It's just a matter of the write ups which take about an hour and half to do EACH. I still have two more to write.

Second, the awards WILL be up today. I'm shooting for 1:00-2:00 PM. Don't hold me to that.

It's tempting to pull a 1984 here...

First things first. The server issues have been ironed out, so we shouldn't be seeing anymore of the 404 screens that have been plaguing us for the last few weeks.

Second of all, we have a few new affiliates, Want Midna Back and Zelda Triforce Infinity. So check them out on the side here.

Finally, if there's one things I've learned about the GIA's, is that people will nominate a site for an award that has been retired. So after much additional thought, I'm going to continue with the Golden Light Arrow for the Most Lively Forums. To those many people who asked for it back, here it is.

So yeah, one more week and then it's the presentation! To vote, click here and nominate away.

So hey, it's been two years

And I'd like to know, has anyone actually tried this yet?

In other news, I'm still trying to get ahold of Chance or Alex or someone from LoZ.com to figure out what's going on with the server. Hopefully I can get that sorted out soon, so I can post real updates with real content by real people. Until then, I can't update things like Affiliates and the like, due to problems with the FTP. sad

In other more exciting news, EDN has been reviewed by newly opened website Final Fantasy Executive. We scored a 4.1/5.0 on what I'm assuming is the overall awesome score. To commemorate this fact, I will let this review go to my head and from now on refer to EDN as "Exploding Deku Nut, World Renown AWESOME Zelda Site." tongue

EDN Fun Fact: In the first few months of the site, we used the mottos: "It's All in How You Play the Game" and "The Fight for your Sanity Begins," before finally settling on "Cause Humor Ain't Just for Crazy People"
