“The activity in Legends Place is staggering and I'd wager the forum would do just fine if it stood alone. But that's not to say that Legends and Adventures deserves this award any less - their upcoming overhaul and name change will probably bring some welcome changes to the main site, and let's face it, there'll be plenty of loyal members there to watch it happen!"

Forums are the heart and soul of a Zelda site.
When it comes down to it, a person isn’t “loyal” or dedicated to a website because of its content, as great as it may be. Or its news coverage, as fast and reliable as it may be. Or even it media, as vast and extensive as that may be.
Most often or not, people stick with a Zelda site for its members; the chance to interact with people who share your interests and values, or a place to debate with people who do not. Within forums, people can form close friendships with people they have never seen and create is place that is enjoyable to be in.
Such is the case with Legends and Adventure.
Legends and Adventure was founded by Lysia in 2001. For those of you who have been around EDN for a very long time, you will know that Legends and Adventure was our very first affiliate, back when it was still called The Legend, Since that time, Legends and Adventure as grown immensely, and with it, its forum community.
A quick look at the rules page for Legends Place, should give you a good idea of the type of forums these are. There isn’t a long list of rules or “Do nots” but rather a sentence asking people to respect each other before they enter.
This is very evident as you spend time among the plethora of topics and subforums. Legends Place has a warm and inviting atmosphere, where people are friendly and get to know each other well. While the rule of respect is observed, the boards are well moderated by a team whose goal is not to punish and maintain strict order, but to ensure the members of the forum can enjoy their time here.
As for the board itself, you can pretty much talk about what ever you want, as almost every topic of conversation has its place, from Zelda discussion to gaming, manga to role playing, and four whole sections devoted to showcasing fan works. The forums are large enough to meet lots of new people, but not so large that new posts are swallowed instantaneously. As a certain green clad “fairy” might say, “It’s not too many rupees, and it’s not too little rupees. It’s just the right amount.”
Finally to quote a few nominations I received:
“There is a great atmosphere among members; and people get to know each other quickly due to the splendid lay out of the forum. Members are friendly, and it is moderated well. Of all the Zelda forums I have visited, Legends Place is un-beatable. I love it there!”
“I love this site for the open and friendly atmosphere. Every new member coming to the forums at Legends and Adventure - Legends Place (LP) gets a welcome that tells of a forum community with a lot of humour and kindness. The administrators and moderators show a deep reflective spirit and are not afraid to speak up in a firm yet warm tone.”
“The forum is very lively and the members are nice. New members are always welcomed by current members and everyone is helpful. The administrators and moderators do a splendid job keeping the forum safe and all members happy.”
If you are looking for a great Zelda community to join, this is the place for you. Thus it is my pleasure to award this year’s Golden Light Arrow for Most Lively Forums to Legends and Adventure. Congratulations to Lysia, the moderators and the members of the Legends Place community and best of luck in the years to come.
