eXTReMe Tracker

I think ZREO is a very good source for Zelda reorchestrated files. There you can find reorchestrated songs like the main theme of Ocarina of Time and the Wind Waker. So take a look!

Music is what defines a game.

Take the Legend of Zelda for example. Remember riding through Hyrule Field, or battling Ganondorf. It wouldn't be the same if it wasn't for the music. It can bring back memories just by listening to the first notes of a melody. The Legend of Zelda theme is infact one of the most recognized theme music in the entire gaming world.

Project Z.R.E.O. recognizes that. Their focus is not on game help, articles or latest news breaks. Instead their goal is to reorchestrate the entire soundtrack from ALL the Zelda games. Quite a feat.

Already they have songs from 8 games, with Ocarina of Time 56% done at the posting of this article. All of these songs contain the theme of the original song, but redone in an orchestrated style. Each song is skillfully remixed, with the orginally melody at the base, but puts a whole new spin on the overall feeling.

Project Z.R.E.O. contains numerous remixed songs one would not be able to find on other sites. Dedicated to Zelda and supported by the community, Project Z.R.E.O. will continue to be a very unique site in the years to come.

In judging for this award I looked at what unique aspect the site had, and how different it was from "typical" Zelda sites. Project Z.R.E.O clearly sets itself apart from other sites through its goal and its music. For all your Zelda music orchestrated, this site is the first place to go.

So Congratulations to the FireGS and the musicians of Project Z.R.E.O for winning the 2005 Golden Deku Nut of the EDN Golden Item Awards

Postscript: Project ZREO was closed and remade into Zelda Music in the summer of 2005. When funding became a serious issue, Zelda Music was forced to shut down. However, it reopened under the new ZREO Music URL in 2007 and continues to create amazing music.
