Navi Censoring
"If you don't like it, you can shut the *Navi* up!"
- Darth Citrus, Inventor of Navi Censoring -
There is a good chance someone you love or hate has referred this page to you. It may be the odd usage of *Navi* on forums, at school or while you're at work. Whatever the reason, if you're looking for an answer, you've come to the right place.
It all started when I wrote this satire: Navi now used as International Standard of Censoring It was a simple idea, funny, and fairly straight forward to write. Never one to walk away from a good joke, I began to use it as a censoring tool all over Exploding Deku Nut. Soon it was out of control. Within two years, innocent people were exposed to unhealthy doses of Navi Censoring. Children began adapting it into their everyday speech. Websites I had never seen before proudly displayed it on their front pages, an eternal reminder of the monster I had created. On January 3rd, 2034, Navi Censoring became sentient, and has doomed the members of the human race for all time...
That being said, if you're going to use this standard of censoring, you should at least do it properly. Here are a few basic guidelines to *Navi* Censoring:
1. Asterisks:
This is the biggest mistake someone can make. Navi without the stars refers to the fairy from Ocarina of Time. *Navi* with the asterisks refers to any possible swear that makes sense in that context. So always make sure to add the asterisks. Otherwise you just look like a friggin *Navi*head.
2. Adjustments:
*Navi* is used to replace standard four letter expletives. In certain cases you may need to adjust the word to fit an adjective or adverb. The following are acceptable adjustments: *Navier* (rare) and *Naving* (common)
3. Split Words
In cases where swears are often intermingled with other "clean" words, place the swear with *Navi* as you normally would, and leave no space between the continuing word. Example: You #%$hole. You *Navi*hole.
4. Abuse:
Just because it's censored doesn't mean you have to go overboard on it. Filling a whole page with *Navi* will cause people to question your maturity. So use it properly.
5. Understanding:
Likewise, someone isn't going to understand what you mean when you tell him to *Navi* off. In that case, direct them to this page and help spread the "magic".
Now you know everything you need to know about Navi Censoring. Remember, this power is now in your hands, and it's abuse will drive you utterly mad. MAD!
