This first layout, if you can call it a layout, was created by opening Frontpage and going wild. The result is what you see to the left. |
This was the first "real" design created for EDN. It featured tiling backgrounds and buttons from grsites.com |
This layout was done with frames and paint. There are actually 4 frames in that picture. |
The last layout to be made with MS Paint. It was online for such a short time I didn't even count this as a full layout. |
This was my first attempt at using Photoshop and Dreamweaver. |
The second of the Photoshop layouts. This is where I started the Zgames buttons at the top. This layout was also the only one to have two different headers. |
This version was initally created to fit all the Zgame buttons. I neglected to take a screenshot before I removed it from the server. But that is generally how it looked like. The header was made with pictures from Majora's Mask and Twilight Princess. |

I always wanted to make a layout that was both professional looking and cool like the bigger Zelda sites. Thus utilizing the full power of my Photoshop skillz I spent two months in creating V6.0. The picture of Lake Hylia in the header, is actually my own rendered creation. |
The main feature of this layout was the orb on the right. I was aiming for a more "interface" type theme that flowed from header to footer. Apart from the orb, the name of the games was also displayed when hovering over the buttons. This layout was again online for a record 6 month. |
The main reason for V8.0 was EDN was simply outgrowing V7.0. This layout was designed with 3 extra slots for future Zelda games, as well as the hotbox in the middle. I ended up never using those extra slots. |
Version 9.0 was a major change, made to incorporate the look and feel of the new CMS system. This layout holds the record for longest online: One and a half years. |
